L'Occitane Love

I've really gotten into L'Occitane products lately... They just smell so good!
I randomly tried the peach blossom perfume above in a shop once and fell in love with it. It probably also has to do with me having had an awesome day walking around with this scent on me, so it has a nostalgic value, too, haha.
Anyways, after that I moved to another city and tried to buy it at the local L'Occitane shop(they are all over Germany nowadays!) , but the shop clerk told me they don't have it anymore because it has been discontinued...
I must have looked really dissapointed because she immediately offered to try calling other shops to ask if they still might have some in stock if I don't find it online, haha.
They always have really friendly staff, at least in the shops I have been to until now.

Luckily I did find it online, though.
I'm all over fancy perfume bottles, but somehow I really like this one because it is so simple and because of the engraved peach blossom branch. It matches the fresh scent perfectly. ♥

Another product I really love is their "Rose 4 Reines" body milk.
It smells sooo good!



It's relatively expensive, but I've had this small 75ml bottle for a couple of months now, and it's still only half empty and I use it on my whole body about once or twice a week.

When I ordered the perfume I also got samples of a few creams, and totally fell in love with the MILK CONCENTRATE body cream. I even kept the empty package of the sample so I can smell it every now and then, haha... Maybe I'll buy it once the rose body milk is used up.
I also tried the Ultra-Matte Face Fluid, which was so-so, and have a cream mask still lying around here that I have yet to try.
But it's from the IMMORTELLE series which I also had a cream sample of, and that one smelled gross, so I'm a little reluctant, haha...

Chocolate Pupe

I love the current theme on Poupée Girl. ♥
I've been playing for what, 3 years now?
It has changed quite a lot since then, and in my opinion not really for the better.
I have gotten over the Jewel thing by now, but the events rarely ever interest me anymore, or if they do, I don't like any of the items.
Who remembers that Valentine's Day a couple of years back, when they released their first Lolita style dress on Pupe? *haha*
It looked like Baby's Parfait dress(which I still want...), and I was so excited, taking pictures of every uploadable thing I could find. It was a lot harder to get Ribbons back then, nowadays I always have about 300, and I guess I'm one of the poorer Pupes, haha...

Oh well, but I have accumulated lots of nice clothes over the years, so it's still fun to play.
And sometimes, like with the school girl event, I get all excited and want to buy everything. 8D

Poupée Girl DS

I started playing Poupée Girl DS a couple of weeks ago.
My first thought was: this is like Animal Crossing - but with clothes!
Basically, you move in to your own house in Poupée Town and make lots of friends walking around there. You can buy clothes at Katherine Shop or the Brand Store just like in the online version, but getting Ribbons is so much easier!
You get Ribbons for about everything--

★ Removing your make-up and changing into PJ's at midnight
★ You have a little plant in your room that you can click on, which shows you your lucky colour and item for the day, just checking it gives you Ribbons
★ Changing your profile info
★ Dressing up & taking outfit snaps
★ Dress-up bonus -- I only had about 5 days in a row, but I assume there is a special bonus for dressing up every day of a month like in the online version

You also get items along with the Ribbons.
When you walk around in town, which looks a lot like the one online, you can click on round symbols which refer to persons and are coloured according to their styles.
When you start talking to a Poupée you don't know, you'll automatically be asked to add her as a friend, and if you do so, she'll give you an item as a present. (Every new friend also writes you an e-mail to your cellphone, which I almost find a little annoying because they mostly say the same things over and over again.)

There are contests, too, where you have to dress up in specific colours that match the contest style. The Poupées you meet sometimes talk about which colour is best for which style, but there were no contests since I started playing, so I have yet to try it.

You have a notebook where you can change your profile info, look at your friends and their coordinates, and look at a list of all items. The items you don't own are marked with ??? - it's like a PokéDEX for clothes, haha.

I don't know - it's fun, but personally I like the online version better, and I mostly play to practice Japanese. The items are not so great yet, though like I said I'm still at the beginning, but I recognize lots of them from my online closet.
There also isn't much more to do then dress up, walk around town to collect friends, go shopping, repeat.
But the great thing is, you have a shitload of Ribbons, and what I've always missed online - once you buy a haircolour/-style, it's yours for good! You can change your haircolour for free every day if you like. 8D

There also is a great community at LiveJournal which is very helpful if you're not so good at Japanese.

Homemade Rilakkuma Notebook

It's exam time at my university right now, but I'm so not in the mood for studying today...
Instead I arranged my virtual possesions for the move and started to decorate my "study notebook".
When people ask me if I collect something I always reply with "knowledge", because I just love learning about all kinds of things. I read through my notes from highschool like others through old diaries. I'm also a very visual type and process things the fastest when I write them down, so I always keep some kind of notebook, but they have never looked like anything special.
I bought this thick A5 spiral notebook for this semester, and have always wanted to spice it up a little, and now my procrastination has finally brought me around to do it.
Originally it was brown with a picture of coffee beans(haha, I love coffee...), so I painted pink stripes onto white paper, glued it ontop of the cover and painted the cardboard-back with the remaining pink paint.
I still had the wrapper from my Rilakkuma kigurumi left, so I cut out Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma and glued them to the back and inside of the cover. The 'R'-letter is also from that wrapper, the stickers I bought along with the calendar I gave my friend.

This is just a work in progress though, I still need to finish off the edges of the cover and put something over it to keep the stickers safe(they are of the kind that have those little plastic layers on top that come off really easily...), but I wanted to show it now because it came out cuter than I expected. :D

Sherlock Homes?

I watched Sherlock Holmes last Sunday, and loved it!
One of the main reasons is that I just love the atmosphere of late 19th century Britain.
Sometimes I fantasize about interior that strongly resembles an Angelic Pretty store, but my real dream is a Victorian inspired home.
(With a couple of Hogwarts-y elements mixed in...)
Somehow the clutter and those dark colours and busy patterns make me feel at home.
Most of modern architecture is so cold and ugly, I always wonder how anyone could think it looks good.
Some things I'd like in my future living room...

♥ A fancy wallpaper, preferably in a darker colour. Maybe something like this in a dark red.
(Somehow this reminds me a lot of this Murakami wallpaper, haha..)
♥ I don't find them particularly pretty, but somehow I really want a Persian rug.
♥ Dark wood furniture and a black leather sofa. A pretty armchair accompanied by a stool and a reading lamp.
♥ Books. Lots of lots of books.
♥ Heavy dark curtains.
♥ A black chandelier.
♥ I have a thing for bones, so a couple of small animal skulls and all kinds of other curiosities.
♥ All kinds of antique and vintage bits and pieces.
♥ A piano. ;_;

Oh, and I said 'living room' because I think my bedroom will turn out pink and sparkly anyways, hehe. I just can't pick one style.
And by the way, another movie playing in that era which I really like is 'From Hell' with Johnny Depp. I guess I have a thing for weird detectives?

Rilakkuma Calendar

I'm going to move to another city for 6 months because of my internship, and I bought my best friend a Rilakkuma calendar as a good-bye gift.
Actually one of the reasons Rilakkuma is so precious to me is because it was him who bought me my first plush bear. ♥



It's pretty simple with one tear-out page for each month with Korilakkuma dressed in different cute outfits and a small monthly calendar at the bottom of each page.



The main reason I choose a calendar as a gift is so I could fill in some important dates before I give it to him, for example a little note saying "HAPPY BIRTHDAY", because I won't be able to do it personally. ★

Amigurumi Rabbit

This is Super Rabbit :D
He was just something I randomly started when I was bored, but he kind of grew on me...

I started crochet before Christmas 2008 because I wanted to give my best friend a selfmade bear(which was unsurprisingly very similar to Rilakkuma...) as a present, and have been doing a couple of projects since then.
The last one was a pink bear for a Lolita I met in Hungary, and I still regret having forgotten to take a picture of it because I finished it an hour prior to the meet-up!


This is what he looked like initially, but the same friend I made the first bear for requested longer ears, so I made him a hat with longer ones.


I'm way too impatient to learn the meanings of all those cryptic abbreviations you need to understand patterns, but thankfully there are tons of awesome video tutorials on Youtube.
And once you've got the basics down it's really easy to do simple things yourself.
I want to make another pink bear next. :3

Rose Skirt

The new skirt and fur stole I talked about. Can't wait for spring so I can wear the skirt out!
I'm wearing it over a dress that's also from H&M, it has a soft tulle skirt and looks very similar to the dress Carry wears in the Sex & The City opening.
Right now they also sell a dress that's cut the same as this one, but with layers of ruffles instead of tulle and a bow at the waist. ♥

Korilakkuma Deco Mouse

I just bought my first own computer ♥
Though the problem with technical things usually is, they either function well OR look good.
My cellphone for example - it's shiny and purple and looks awesome, but the software is buggy and slow as hell, and the external touch screen is really bad, too.
I can live with a shitty cellphone as long as it plays MP3s and takes pictures, but when it comes to laptops I'd rather choose performance.
Buuut, there's nothing wrong with a blingbling deco mouse :D
Even the chord is pink, ahh.


It's really comfortable to use, too.
Hopefully it'll last a while, as I said I don't trust in the qualtity of goodlooking electronics.

BABY Watch

I got my BABY watch on Monday! I have always wanted one of their watches, and stumbled upon this one at Closet Child.
I love the sound the charms make when they dangle against the chain ♥
Although I really like those that come on a leather strap, too...

Dolls

I spent a great deal of the morning playing with the dollmaker over at Mirukuma. (I've used the same hairstyle on all of them because it was the only one I liked, though it's a little restricting because they all have the pink headbow.)
They currently have a contest going on were you can win BABY goodies ★
I'll enter because I'm after the planner, ahem.

I also found an awesome skirt and fur collar at the H&M sale yesterday, though I can't take pictures right now because the lighting in my room is really bad due to the snow on my windows.
It's a high waist skirt with a salmon pink base and a purple/pink/green rose print, and the fur stole is lavender, they look so cute together! ♥
Though the skirt is a size 38, which I'd say is usually an M close to L, and I have a 67cm waist, H&M's sizing is really fucked up.
